Moorlands School of Apologetics
We are so looking forward to our next School of Apologetics. On 5th November 2011, we will be hosting “50 years after the Flood: Scientific and Theological Reflections on The Genesis Flood.” There will be four sessions, plus a time for questions, interspersed with lunch and refreshments. The day starts at 9am and finishes by 3.30pm.
In 1961, two years after the centenary of the publication of Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species, John Whitcomb and Henry Morris published The Genesis Flood: The Biblical Record and its Scientific Implications. The book brought science and faith together in a way that some found liberating, and others found exasperating. But it set the agenda for the ongoing debate between creation and evolution, theism and atheism. Fifty years on, how has the debate developed? This conference brings specialists in apologetics, geology, philosophy and hermeneutics together to reflect on its significance today.
