The residential facilities at Moorlands are purpose-built and available to hire during College vacations in two configurations. The first is as the entire Residential Centre, comprising 47 twin-bedded rooms and five single rooms allowing for a group of up to 99 people. Alternatively, the Centre can offer accommodation for two smaller groups simultaneously. The main residential building sleeps a total of 69 people in 33 twin-bedded rooms and three single rooms. The Cedars Centre is a smaller building, comprising 14 twin-bedded rooms and two single rooms, allowing for a group of up to 30 people.
There are two lounges that are in the main accommodation building. The Cherries Lounge is stocked with tea and coffee-making facilities, and the upstairs lounge contains a television and video.
This is a large meeting room with a data projector and OHP.
Meals are served in the Dining Hall which adjoins the Chapel. Catering is provided to suit most requirements, ranging from a sandwich lunch to a three course evening meal. In the summer months, a more informal barbecue in the college grounds can be served. Most special diets can also be catered for upon request.
A Sports Hall is available for hire on campus which contains facilities for badminton, five-a-side football and uni-hoc (changing and shower areas are provided).
There is a fully equipped fitness gym which the over 18s can use, available at an hourly rate.
Moorlands College is situated in 14 acres of beautiful parkland on the edge of the New Forest.
The
seminar and lecture rooms are particularly suitable for teaching and
workshop use (lecture rooms offer more space for the latter) – chairs
with lecture-tablets are provided for participants.
The conference
room is a high-quality venue with conference tables and chairs,
suitable for board/committee meetings, deacons’ retreats, etc. A water
cooler is provided as standard.
Items such as an OHP, flip-chart and pens, and a data projector and
screen can normally be provided by advance arrangement for no extra
charge.
