Course Requirements

For all our courses we expect you to have:

  • a clear leading from God
  • a recommendation from your home or sending church
  • a reasonable level of spiritual and personal maturity
  • some experience of Christian service

‘No paper qualification?’ No problem!

Even if you do not currently hold normal entrance qualifications for a College Course, this should not stop you from thinking of applying. There are still two options available to you:

  1. The 'AP[E]L' (Accreditation of Prior [Experiential] Learning) route, where your work and other life experience is taken into consideration.
  2. Students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications to gain direct access to the three year degree programme may apply to do the Moorlands Foundation Year followed by the three year degree programme, thus undertaking a four year degree programme which is recognised by the DFES for statutory funding.

Age at entry

If you have 2 'A' Levels or are applying for the Foundation Year you are welcome at 18 years. Otherwise we would usually expect you to be over 20 years when you apply. However, you don't have to be young! We have always benefited from the contribution that more mature students bring to College.
