Foundation Year

Moorlands Certificate

Foundation Year

The Foundation Year is a one year course designed to give students a route onto the degree course if they have been out of education for a long time or do not have the necessary two A levels to gain direct access onto the degree program.

Foundation year Students spend two days a week in college during term time where study skills are integrated and taught in real and relevant contexts of biblical studies, theology and ministry. Additionally, students spend four days a week in a placement with a local Church or Christian organisation honing the practical and relational skills taught on the course and developing spiritually and personally.

On successful completion of the foundation year, students can transfer directly onto the three year degree program in Applied Theology.

Moorlands Certificate

If you are married to a Moorlands student and are unable to contemplate a full time course for yourself, you are encouraged to consider a tailor-made programme, built around your interests and future ministry needs. You would engage with a selection of our established modules.
