At Moorlands, we have always aimed at leading the field with our Applied Theology courses. We are committed to ensuring that all our students not only succeed academically, but also develop the crucial competencies to become excellent practitioners - serving God as effectively as possible.
The placement based version of our degree programme has been an exciting development. You can get the very best training possible AND work for a church or Christian organisation, where your ministry can grow and make a real difference. In addition to three study week blocks each year, you will spend one day a week at Moorlands receiving high-quality teaching and coaching. The rest of the week will be split between private study and work in your placement. At the end of three years, you will have significantly developed your skills as a Christian worker, you will have gained one of the BA (Hons) degrees and, if you opted for the BA (Hons) in Applied Theology (Youth and Community Work), you will be JNC-recognised.
Criteria for admission to the placement based programme are the same as for entry to the college based programme, with the added requirement of you already being in a suitable placement, or being involved in finding one that meets your needs, where the supervision of your practical work can be successfully carried out.
Why not arrange an informal interview to talk through these exciting possibilities or book into one of our regular Open Days?
