Accelerate

This unique, one-year course is designed to train and disciple you as you seek to develop your Christian service skills, gain valuable insights into the Bible and doctrine, and nurture personal and spiritual growth.

This course could be for you if:

• You are looking for a challenging, rewarding gap year of flexible Christian training
• You have a year to serve your church and would like some theological training to underpin the practical experience

The very practical ethos of the Accelerate programme means that you will be assigned to a church or Christian organisation as close as possible to Moorlands. If you are single, you will be given lodging there. If married, you will need to find accommodation nearby. You will be actively involved in tailoring a programme, negotiated by you, the placement setting and the College.

Accelerate also includes one day per week in College, with the opportunity to attend on a second day, to be part of a tutor group with students from the degree course. Five assignments completed during the year will help you to reflect on your practical experience and encourage you in your personal and spiritual development. The Accelerate programme also includes an opportunity during the year to take part in a short 'mission' trip.

On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded the Moorlands Accelerate Certificate.
