Learning Support

Moorlands College is committed to equal opportunities in education for all students. The Learning Support team’s role is to provide information, support and advice to students with learning disabilities.

The team has professionally qualified staff who will help students identify their needs through screenings or assessments. We are able to offer full dyslexia assessments* in College as well as guidance and assistance regarding applications for the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA).

The Learning Support team is there to help you manage your studies, providing additional support where necessary so that you are able to achieve your full potential. An Individual Learning Support Plan (ILSP) will be agreed with you which takes account of your additional needs e.g. dyslexia, visual or hearing impairment, mobility difficulties.

*A charge is made for this service.

If you are a Needs Assessor the NMH Rates sheet (PDF, 115kb) will provide you with information.
