Cracking Children’s Ministry

Christian theology applied.

Saturday 6 July 2019, 9.30am – 3.30pm

A one–day conference to help you enhance your church’s work with primary-age children and their families. You’ll be encouraged in your quest to see nurture and discipleship, both in church and in the home, being part of your planning and vision in your ministry.

Whether you sometimes help out with Sunday School, or work full-time with primary-age children and their families, this day is for you. Run in partnership with Christian Connections in Schools, the conference will be crammed with guest speakers, topical seminars and practical resources.

  • Opportunities for people in Church to be involved with school’s ministry, Wayne Dixon, Christian Connections in Schools
Wayne Dixon is a school’s worker with Christian Connections in Schools (a local mission partner with Scripture Union) and has been involved with school’s work for over 30 years.
  • Equipping and investing in your team, Sharon Prior, Moorlands College
Sharon is an experienced lecturer, trainer, leadership coach and mentor. She is the senior tutor/lecturer at Moorlands College’s Midlands Regional Centre, leading the team to deliver our BA course. Sharon also lectures on the MA Mentoring specialism, and is the leader of a church in Bournemouth.
  • Nurturing faith in families, Colin Bennett, Moorlands College
Colin is the Director of Training for the Community and Family Studies modules at Moorlands College. He has authored several books and has a passion for young people learning more about Jesus and the Bible.
  • Intentional parenting support, Karen Todd, Simplicate

Run in partnership with Christian Connections in Schools (CCIS)

CCIS was set up to support, enable and develop Christian work in schools in the area of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead. This is done through a range of work from assemblies and lessons and supporting Christian groups to large scale events and residential trips. Currently we employ Wayne Dixon who works in a number of secondary schools in the area. We are also a Local Mission Partner with Scripture Union.

Tickets for the whole conference are just £15 each. And, to help more people get the most out of the day, we’re delighted to be able to offer five places for the price of four. That’s five tickets for just £60, so why not bring along a group of people from your church?

Please bring along your own lunch and refreshments for the day.

Teaching is based at Dedworth Green Baptist Church, Smiths Lane, Windsor, SL4 5PE
