We are delighted to announce an opportunity to join our Student Welfare team at Moorlands College. Our vision is to equip people, passionate about Jesus, to impact the Church and the world. We are seeking a Learning Assistance Tutor.
Moorlands College Learning Assistance Tutors provide one to one study skills support in person and remotely to students in receipt of Disability Students Allowance (DSA). We support students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder as well as other disabilities. Learning Assistance tutors also provide supplementary study skills support to student as required.
Successful candidates will have the mandatory qualifications and professional memberships as stipulated by the Department for Education for the positions of either Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support -Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) or Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support -Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
Working hours and Benefits
- Variable depending on the number of students receiving DSA support. Average of five students allocated if available. Students average 30 hours support per academic year.
- Salary: £17.66 per hour
- Location: Moorlands College is situated in tranquil, rural campus grounds at our Christchurch Campus, Dorset on the beautiful South Coast.
