Executive Leadership Team

Andy du Feu
Principal
Andy currently leads the College as Principal. He lectures on a range of subjects at both undergrad and postgrad, and speaks regularly at events and churches.

Dr Ian Kirby
Director of Academic Quality
Ian teaches on subjects related to mission, working cross-culturally and the gospel and culture. Ian previously lived in Kyrgyzstan for ten years, where he was involved in church planting and teaching.

Matt Mellor
Director of Operations
Matt manages the large team of people who keep the college running; covering personnel, IT, health and safety, facilities and catering.

David McLellan
Director of Finance
David has led the financial operation of the College for over a decade. He has extensive experience in the field of finance and is available to discuss fees, loans and other money matters with prospective students.

Dr Abi Maguire
Director of Learning and Student Experience
Abi is our Director of Learning and Student Experience, lecturing across a range of areas including, Christian Ethics, Apologetics, and Church and Community. She also leads Youth and Community Work Professional Studies.
Academic

Dr Chris Sinkinson
Lecturer in Old Testament and Apologetics
Chris tutors and lectures on both the BA and MA and regularly leads student tours to Israel. He was previously the pastor of a New Forest church. Chris writes a monthly column for Evangelicals Now and has authored a number of books relevant to biblical archaeology.

Dr Daniel Paul
Director of the School of Language and Scripture
Dan directs our School of Language and Scripture and is the course leader for the MA in Language, Community and Development. He is also a translation and linguistics consultant with SIL International, serving language projects in West Asia.

Dr Helen Miller
Head of Research and Professional Development
Helen is our Head of Research and Professional Development and lectures on a variety of areas such as the Old and New Testament, the church, contextualization, and exploring the mission of God.

Ian Coffey
Adjunct Lecturer
Ian lectures on the MA programmes, where he draws upon more than 40 years of leadership experience in both the local church and parachurch contexts.

Tim Miller
Lecturer, Foundation Year Lead
Tim teaches on a variety of subjects, including culture, church and leadership. He is a local church leader and has previously worked in Zambia training Pastors. He is married to Helen and they enjoy running, cycling and paddle boarding.

Tim Cadoux
MSW Senior Tutor
Tim helps to manage the running of the South West Regional Centre. He teaches on a number of modules, and manages the centre’s library. Tim also works for SWYM’s resources team.

Isaac McNish
MSW Centre Manager, Personal Tutor and Adjunct Lecturer

Clair Apps
Centre Manager at South West Regional Centre
Clair works alongside Andy and Isaac in running the centre. Her main focus is on planning and pastoral care, with some teaching. Clair is also the senior youth worker at her local church, and serves as part of the leadership team.

David Gray
MA Language, Community and Development Lead Tutor in Scripture Engagment
David spent 25 years working in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and other parts of Eurasia, both in translation and Scripture engagement, and is a qualified consultant in both domains.

Dr Cathy Bartram
MA Language, Community and Development Lead Tutor in Linguistics
Cathy has 30 years of experience in linguistics and its applications, particularly amongst minority language communities in Asia.

Jonathan Woodhouse, CB
Adjunct Lecturer
A Baptist minister and former Chaplain General of the British Army, Jonathan is the lead tutor of the MA in Applied Theology Chaplaincy specialism and teaches on the core Ethics module. He has 24 years’ experience as an army chaplain. Jonathan and his wife, Jackie, also used to serve as college Chaplains at Moorlands College.
